Skills
A skill is a capability you switch on. Out of the box Carae answers, remembers and reminds; skills are how it learns your routines, your tools and your quirks. There are over 150 built-in AI skills, and together they define what your assistant can do.
What a skill is
Each skill is one focused ability with a clear job: a morning brief, a habit tracker, a packing list, a weekly review. Install the ones that match your life and ignore the rest. Browse the full catalogue at carae.ai/skills, or just ask in chat: "what skills do you have for travel?"
Installing and uninstalling
Tell Carae in chat and it's done:
- "Set up a habit tracker." Carae installs the skill and asks what you want to track.
- "Uninstall the news brief." Gone, no hard feelings.
You can install a healthy number of skills per day (8 on Trial and Lite, 12 on Companion, 16 on Pro), so a rainy Sunday of setting up your assistant is entirely possible.
Configuring in plain language
No settings screens. Schedules are sentences: "send my weekly review on Fridays at four" just works.
The Morning Brief goes further with custom sections. Tell Carae "add a section to my brief with the top three AI headlines" and tomorrow it is there, alongside your calendar and the weather. You can keep 1 custom section on Trial and Lite, 3 on Companion and 5 on Pro.
Here is what one looks like landing in your chat:

A day with skills on
You wake to a brief that already knows about the 9am standup. At lunch, "log that I drank a litre of water" updates your hydration streak. On the walk home, "add socks to the packing list" lands in Friday's trip. None of it felt like using software.
