Plans & Billing

Two plans, no fine-print games. Every plan is the same Carae; the bigger one gives it more headroom. Whichever you choose, you try it free for 14 days first.

The plans

  • Companion: the sweet spot for most people; voice notes, documents, the Creative Studios and most of the integrations catalogue.
  • Pro: everything, for people who run their life (or their side project) through Carae.

Current prices are always on the pricing page. Annual billing is 20 percent off, paid once up front, and non-refundable once the term starts (details in the Terms). If you joined on the old Lite plan, you keep it for as long as you like.

What grows as you move up

  • Response quality: higher plans use stronger AI models, with Pro on the most capable ones.
  • Weekly allowance: how much Carae can do for you each week. Your dashboard shows what is left; near the end Carae may answer with a lighter model, and it refills by itself.
  • Messages per hour: 100 on Companion, 200 on Pro.
  • Skill installs per day: 12 on Companion, 16 on Pro.
  • Creative Studios: 12 images and 12 music clips a day on Companion, 30 of each on Pro.
  • Projects: 3 on Companion, 8 on Pro.
  • Calendars in your schedule: 2 on Companion, 4 on Pro.
  • Integrations: email and calendar everywhere, most apps on Companion, and developer and store tools (GitHub, Linear, Jira, Vercel, Netlify, Cursor, Supabase, Devin, DeepWiki, Sentry, PostHog, Shopify and Stripe) on Pro.
  • Building your own skills in The Forge: Pro.

How the trial works

You sign up on the web at carae.ai/signup, pick Companion or Pro, and add a card up front. For 14 days you get that plan, with a smaller allowance and one project; on day 15 the plan starts and your card is charged, unless you cancel first. Can't wait? Start my plan now on the Billing page ends the trial early and unlocks the full allowance straight away.

Changing your mind

Upgrade or downgrade from the Billing page of your dashboard; changes apply from your next billing cycle. Cancel any time from the same page, through the billing portal.

If your plan lapses, Carae pauses rather than punishes: chat, scheduled briefs and reminders stop and skills go quiet, but nothing is deleted. Reactivate and your skills, integrations and memories resume exactly where they left off.

Bring a friend

Share your link from Referrals on the dashboard. When your friend's first paid month goes through, you both get a month free, and there is no limit on how many you can collect.

A typical journey

You start the Companion trial out of curiosity. Two weeks later the morning brief has become non-negotiable, and you catch yourself answering an email by voice note from the school run. Then one evening you want Carae to check on your GitHub pull requests too. That is the Pro moment, and you will know it when it happens.
