Chatting with Carae
Carae works like any other chat: you write, it answers. But your AI assistant understands more than text, and a few commands give you shortcuts worth knowing. Telegram and WhatsApp work the same way, commands included.
What you can send
- Text: every plan, every channel. Just talk normally.
- Photos: every plan. Send a menu, a form, a whiteboard, and ask about it.
- Your location: every plan. Handy for "what's open near me?"
- Voice notes: Companion and Pro. Talk instead of typing, up to 2 voice notes a minute and 60 minutes a day.
- Documents: Companion and Pro. PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD and CSV, one every 10 seconds, up to 20 MB on Telegram and 25 MB on WhatsApp.
Reply to one of your earlier messages and Carae reads it along with your new one, so "what about this one?" lands on the right thing.
Carae can answer by voice too: ask for a voice note and the reply comes as one, with any links as text. Companion includes 12 voice replies a day and Pro 30. Ask for voice replies from now on and every answer comes spoken until you ask for text again.
The voice move
Here is the one that feels like the future. You are walking to the car and remember John is waiting on an answer. You hold the mic button and say:
"Reply to John's email and tell him the deal is on."
Carae drafts the reply and shows you the exact email with three buttons: Send it, Save draft and Cancel. Nothing goes out until you tap Send; a typed "yes" is not enough, on purpose. One voice note, one tap, and you never opened your inbox.
The same rule covers posting to Slack, Bluesky, Threads, Facebook or Instagram, inviting people to a meeting, deleting a calendar event, and starting a paid job on an app you connected. Carae shows exactly what will happen and waits for your tap.
Commands
You never need commands, but they are fast, and they work the same on Telegram and WhatsApp:

You don't need the exact command for account deletion: asking in your own words ("please delete my account") works too, by text, voice note or photo caption. Your data export always goes to the email address on your account, never into the chat, so it only lands in your own inbox.
Fresh threads and fair use
- /reset clears the current conversation thread. Your memories, integrations and plan are untouched; Carae just stops carrying the previous topic forward.
- Hourly message allowance: 100 on Companion, 200 on Pro. Generous enough that you will rarely notice it.
- There is also a weekly allowance, shown as a bar on your dashboard. When most of it is used, Carae may answer with a lighter model for a while; if it runs out, Carae pauses new requests and tells you when it frees up. It refills by itself, and Plans & Billing has the details.
